Description
The Black Swan Sauvignon Blanc is a wine with aromas of blackcurrant, gunflint, elderflower, and fynbos. The wine has a palate that supports the aromas with naartjie marmalade, lemon zest, summer melon, yellow apple, and fresh fig leaves. The wine has a mouth-watering acidity that accompanies the full, medium-weighted palate. The wine is best served chilled and will reward cellaring of between 10-20 years.
The Black Swan Sauvignon Blanc is a pure expression of the Steenberg terroir and shows notes of nasturtium, sugar-snap pea, fresh asparagus and capsicum on the nose, while the palate supports the aromas with fresh lemon and subtle hints of dried apricot and mange tout.
A mouth-watering acidity accompanies a full and long finish achieved with extended lees contact in tank. This is a wonderful food wine and will reward cellaring of between 10 20 years.
