Description
The Afrox range of externally mounted VRDs comprise two models, 400 A AC/DC and 600 A AC/DC voltage reducers. The 400 A AC/DC voltage reducer is designed for use with constant current welding power sources, while the 600 A AC/DC voltage reducer is designed for use with welding machines that have a higher maximum OCV. Both models have features and benefits that make them useful for use with the MMA process.

APPLICATIONS:
Voltage reducers are devices that are typically connected to constant current welding power sources for use with the MMA process.
FEATURES & BENEFITS:
When a voltage reducer is fitted to a welding machine, it reduces the potentially unsafe maximum OCV across the output terminals of the welding machine to a safer voltage. When attempting to strike an arc the VRD will sense this and switch the welding machine to full output whereupon normal welding can commence.
