Description
The Buitenverwachting 6 Year Old is matured in red wine barrels for one more year. The nose has floral notes with red berry, rose and strawberry. The palate has honey, peach and pear with some vanilla syrup and red berries of strawberry and raspberry. The finish is medium length with juicy red fruits and a caramel sweetness. The bottle size is 750ml.
A very interesting single malt from the Loch Lomond distillery which was matured for 6 years and then finished in South Africa's Constantia wine estate Buitenverwachting red wine casks for 6 months before being bottled
Nose: Floral notes with red berry, rose and strawberry then lemon citrus.
Palate: Honey, peach and pear then some vanilla syrup and red berries of strawberry and raspberry.
Finish: Medium length with juicy red fruits and a caramel sweetness.
