This is a description of a German beer box, which includes a selection of German beers. The box includes five different beers, each of which is made according to the Reinheitsgebot, a law that stipulates that beer must be made with water, barley, and hops.

Many German brewers still make beer in accordance with the Reinheitsgebot (Beer Purity Law) of 1516, which states that beer may only be made with water, barley and hops. (The existence of yeast was unknown at the time).
