Description
The artist oil paint is made of arylide yellow (PY 74) and is meant to be used in place of cadmium yellow medium when a higher key tint is desired. Additionally, the transparency of hansa yellows makes them useful for mixing cleaner, brighter secondaries. The vehicle is alkali refined linseed oil and the paint is rated as semi-transparent.
Hansa Yellow Medium: Its masstone is very similar to Cadmium Yellow Medium but semi- transparent. Clean, bright tint. Use in place of Cadmium Yellow where higher key tint is desired.
