Difference between Nest Hub 1st and 2nd Generation:

• Weight: The original 1st Gen is 480g and the 2nd Gen is 560g. Part of that added weight comes from the extra microphone in the 2nd Gen (it has 3)


• Display: The 1st Gen is a 7-inch touchscreen (4.64 inches high and 2.64 inches deep) and has a thin bezel around the entire front. The 2nd Gen is almost identical — with a 7-inch touchscreen (4.7 inches high and 2.7 inches deep) but lacks the bezel, giving it a cleaner look


• Features: The 2nd Gen has a number of new abilities thanks to its Soli sensor. This means you can use gesture control to start and stop media, stop a timer or even snooze your alarm. It also enables Sleep Sensing — with this feature, people can collect data on how well they have slept through the night, including their breathing rate, if they snored, how many times they got out of bed — essentially whether they got a good night's sleep or not
