Description
Batman Returns is a 1992 American superhero film directed by Tim Burton and produced by Joel Schumacher. It is the second installment in the Batman film series, and is based on the DC Comics character of the same name. The film stars Michael Keaton as Batman, Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman, Christopher Walken as The Penguin, Michael Gough as Alfred, and Pat Hingle as Commissioner James Gordon.
The film tells the story of Batman's return to Gotham City after a five-year absence, and his battle against The Penguin, Catwoman, and other criminals. The film was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $266 million worldwide. It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.

Synopsis
In the second of the blockbuster Batman films, the physically deformed criminal genius The Penguin threatens Gotham City--and, helpless, the entire city can only pray that Batman Returns. Only Batman (Michael Keaton) can defend the city from total chaos as The Penguin (Danny DeVito) lays twisted waste to a great metropolis. Meanwhile, the Dark Knight may have met his equal in the lethally lithe Catwoman (Michelle Pfeiffer)--only he doesn't know if she is a feline friend ... or foe.
