Description
Dried mallow leaves are used as a demulcent, anti-inflammatory, expectorant, astringent. They can help with recovery of gastritis and stomach ulcers, as well as sore throats and dry coughs. They can also be used for upper respiratory infections such as laryngitis and pharyngitis, upper respiratory catarrh and bronchitis, sore throats and dry coughs, and for inflammation of the larynx. They can be used externally as a compress for abscesses, boils and minor burns, and as an eye wash for drying up of the tear ducts. They can also be used as a foot bath for swollen feet and hands due to fractures or phlebitis. Finally, they can be used as a gargle for mouth washes.

MALLOW LEAF TEA
Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 2 teaspoons of herb. Infuse for 10-15 min. Strain and drink 3 times a day.
