The Dozuki saw is a general-purpose saw that is designed for hardwoods. It has a trapezoidal tooth pattern that makes it ideal for cuts across the grain, but the more robust tooth design also allows for short cuts along the grain. This makes it suitable for dovetail (rip cuts) joints. The saw also has an ultra-thin and fine-toothed blade that allows precise, tear-free cuts and the finest kerfs. The reinforced back stabilizes the blade and makes it less susceptible to breakage, but also limits the possible cutting depth.
