Eucerin Aquaphor Repairing Ointment gives dry to very dry, cracked and irritated skin the SOS care it needs. The water-free ointment forms a gentle, semi-occlusive, protective barrier over skin that supports the natural transfer of water vapor and oxygen to and from skin allowing skin to breathe and strengthen its natural protective barrier. The ointment is enriched with Glycerin and Panthenol. Glycerin is an effective moisturizer that attracts water and helps to keep it in the skin. It works alongside Panthenol which helps to speed up regeneration and repair while also moisturizing skin.
Fragrance- and preservative-free, Eucerin Aquaphor Repairing Ointment has been clinically and dermatologically proven to repair very dry, cracked and irritated skin.
The soothing, transparent ointment is easy to apply and massages gently into problem areas of skin such as the knees and elbows, cracked knuckles and cuticles and cracked heels. With only a few ingredients, it is well tolerated by sensitive skin and is suitable for use on babies and children as well as on minor burns and on skin after superficial dermatological procedures such as laser treatments and chemical peels1. Eucerin Aquaphor Repairing Ointment should only be used on re-epithelialized skin (i.e. once new tissue has formed) and not on open, wet or bleeding wounds. Ask your Dermatologist for advice on how long you should wait after treatment before using the product.

Superficial Wound Regeneration
The effect of Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm Tube on the rate of regeneration of superficial, partial thickness blister wounds was assessed in a 10 day dermatological study which enrolled 25 patients between the ages of 18 and 50.
Repeated Insult Patch Test
The cumulative irritancy and the sensitisation potential was assessed in a 5-week dermatological study which enrolled 202 patients who did not have any visible skin disease, and were between 17 to 65 years old.
Laser Wounding Model Study
The rate of regeneration of laser wounds was assessed in an 18-day, double-blind dermatological study with 20 subjects.
