The CRKT-M40-02 Tanto Deadbolt Lock Folding Knife is a folding knife designed by Columbia River Knife & Tool, Inc. It is a tribute to Kit Carson, a legendary American frontiersman and hunter. The knife has a tanto blade and a deadbolt locking mechanism. It is made of stainless steel with a bead blast finish and a glass-reinforced nylon handle. It has a plain edge and a tanto blade. The knife has a flipper opening system and a IKBS ball bearing pivot system. The knife can be carried in the pocket or on the belt. The knife is lightweight and has a deep carry.

Locks into place with the Innovative Deadbolt locking mechanism, easy and simple to use, providing incredible strength. A protruding button by the pivot point disengages the blade. CRKT-M40-02 tanto deadbolt lock folding knife also features a discreet deep carry, removable, right or left hand carry, tip-up, black coated stainless steel pocket clip.
