Description
The Trappe Quadrupel is a Belgian ale that is brewed by La Trappe. It is a 10% ABV beer and is named after the Trappist monastery where it is made. The beer has a warm amber color and a crème-colored head. The beer has a complex aroma with hints of cloves and nuts, balanced by the sweet aromas of vanilla, raisins and banana. The taste is full, warming and intensive with a maltiness and the sweet tones of date and caramel. The aftertaste is smooth and light with a bitter aftertaste. The beer is 750ml in size and is imported from the Netherlands.
La Trappe is genuinely brewed ale. But it tastes of more than that. When you taste it carefully, you recognise the most important ingredient that is inextricably connected to the monks. The tranquillity.
In 1991, The Koningshoeven brewery baptized her beloved Quadrupel under the approving glance of the monks. A closely guarded recipe became reality, and the first Quadrupel beer in the world was born.
