Description
The Constantia Estate Red Blend is a wine made from grapes grown in the Klein Constantia region of South Africa. The wine is made with selected cultivars that are best suited to the terroir, and is ripened slowly to create a more elegant and refined wine. The wine is available in a 750ml bottle.
The intention for the Estate Red Blend was to produce a wine that representsKlein Constantia's unique location. Over the yearsthey have selected cultivars that best suittheirterroir, planting them on the lower and warmer slopes of Klein Constantia. Located in one of the coolest wine growing regions in South Africa,they are able to achieve ripeness in conjunction with delicate tannins, allowingthem to create a more elegant and refined red wine.
Deep ruby red in appearance. A lively nose bursting with flavours of strawberries, raspberries, red peppercorns with a delicate oak spice. Full-bodied with dense grippy tannins and a powerful mid palate, flavours of red fruit follow with an elegant backbone. The palate is refined and elegant, ending with a long rich finish.
Variety blend: 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Petit Verdot & 13% Malbec.
