Description
This wine is from the Motte Chardonnay wine region in South Africa. The grapes are from a single site, and the wine is aged in French oak barrels. The wine has fruity notes of nectarine and citrus blossom, with hints of cashew and lees. The wine has a juicy and polished entry, with medium full body and lots of citrus and peach on the palate. The wine has lively length with good freshness. This wine is excellent with caviar, snails, carpaccio p*t*, crayfish, prawns, mussels, perlemoen (abalone) and creamy cheese. The wine is 750ml.
Grapes from one specific site in the Franschhoek area are combined with a secret French barrel selection, to produce the classic flavours that give this style its wide appeal. The wine is light in texture, but has all the charm of a world-class example of this variety, as it has proved to be.
Fruity nectarine and citrus blossom on the nose, with hints of cashew and lees as the only evidence of wood maturation. A juicy and polished entry, medium full with lots of citrus and juicy peach on the palate. Lively length with good freshness for a wood-matured wine.
