The 15 yo transcontinental rum line is a aged rum that is copperorange in color. It has a delicate chocolaty nose with finely woody notes. The first nose shines by its balance. When aired, black pepper and mustard seeds give alot of dynamism to the aromatic palette. Gradually, sugarcane and heady flowers (hyacinth, carnation) embalm the ambient atmosphere. The palate is fine, nuanced, and very fruity with orange peel, apricot, pipe tobacco, lime blossom, and baked apple flavors. Increasingly greedy, the aftertaste even evokes a delicious starteTatin. The finish is long, silky, and at the beginning of the finish, a thin layer of salted butterscotch delicately coats the taste buds. Then, as you go along, exotic and juicy fruits (mango, guava) refresh the very end of the mouth. In retroolfaction, warm cane sugar spreads around the palate. The empty glass is heady (praline, sugared almond).
Aged for fifteen years in a tropical climate according to the solera system, this version proves to be attractive, balanced and solar at the same time.
