The Legacy Series release celebrates Sir Arthur John Tedder, the Glengoyne exciseman who helped define whisky as we know it today. Teder would be proud of this exceptional whisky, which was bottled using some of the very finest American oak sherry casks in our Glengoyne warehouses. The whisky has a fruity, complex flavor profile from the slowest stills in Scotland, which was matured in the finest casks, Unhurried since 1833. The color is deep gold, and the nose has signature Glengoyne deep sherry notes which accompany our distinctive cinnamon sticks and vanilla aromas. A very pleasing combination of mixed berry jam and apple strudel intertwine revealing some pear. The palate is rich and luxurious, with a satisfying chewy texture and warm boozy raisins combining with spiced buns slowly giving way to tarte tatin and smooth cream sherry. The alcohol content is 48%.
