Description
This is a 17-year-old single malt from the Teaninich distillery in the Highlands, released in 2017 to celebrate the distillery's 200th anniversary. It was distilled in 1999 and matured in a combination of refill American oak hogsheads and sherry butts. It is bottled at a natural cask strength of 55.9% and has a nose of citrus, spices, and toffee apples. The palate offers a mix of citrus, sweetness, and spice, with hints of wine gum and lemon zest. The finish is long and warming with spicy oak and a touch of white pepper. The bottle size is 750ml and the alcohol content is 55.9%.

Nose:At first citrus-fruity and fragrant; pears in syrup, lychees, mandarins and lemon sherbet.Thena spicier edge, with cinnamon and nutmeg then toffee apples, with almonds.
Palate:An initial burst of citrus is swept away by candied sweetness and a prickle of spice, before lemon cake, digestive biscuits and spiced porridge. Sharper oak then fade to reveal hints of wine gum and lemon zest.
Finish:Lengthy and warming with spicy oak-wood, a pinch of white pepper, lingering candied sweetness.
