Description
Gold & Gold is a blended whisky from The Yoichi Distillery. It is a rare bottle presentation with removeable plastic samurai helmet and armour. The whisky has been one of the mainstays of Nikkas range of blended whiskies since its launch in 1968. The nose has floral and sweet notes with soft perfume notes. There are some grassy, herbal notes coming through accompanied by a green mint as well. The palate is light with floral notes dominating with some vanilla sweetness. As the whisky sits in the glass, more pine and winter mint notes appear. Fresh cut lawn and grain notes. A slight citrus zest as well. The finish is a short, sweet finish that ends quite dry and with a splash of bitterness. The grassy and herbal notes continue, this time accompanied by black tea and more pine. The bottle size is 700ml.
