Description
The article discusses the watercolour artist Jean Haines' personal table easel. The easel is designed to take a half or quarter sheet of paper with ease, and is made out of light, easy to carry wood. It is also specially designed to take into account the artist's unique style.
Well-known watercolour artist Jean Haines' own personal table easel was
made for her when she lived in Dubai. It was purposely designed to take
a half or quarter sheet of paper with ease.
Jean Haines says: 'I hadn't realised this was a problem, finding a
table easel of this size, until I returned to Europe and started
teaching watercolour courses there. Artists attending my courses
repeatedly asked me where they could buy an easel like mine. I tried
sourcing one unsuccessfully. Jackson's came to the rescue and created
one with measurements as close to my old easel as possible and now
everyone who wants one can buy a table easel at a great price just like
mine! Yes, there are many easels available on the market but mine is
light, easy to carry but more importantly takes the paper sizes I
create on perfectly. Other easels are too small, only taking smaller
size paper which isn't really how I work.'
Measurements of it closed flat for storage or transport: 53cm (W) x
48cm (H) x 8.5cm (D)
Measurements of it open: 53cm (W) x 72cm (H) X 48cm (D)
Maximum height of board it will take: 60cm
