Tony Ferguson Rolled Oats are naturally high in energy and fibre, and a source of protein. Use these large oat flakes to make a flavourful porridge, for baking, or added to muesli or granola. Rolled oats are oat groats that have gone through a steaming and flattening process, with a milder flavor and softer texture. It takes much less time to make, as they have been partially cooked. SUGGESTED USE: Stove Top: Add ? cup (50 g) of oats, 1 cup (250 ml) of water and a pinch of salt to a saucepan. Bring to the boil and allow to simmer for 5 ? 7 minutes (depending on the required consistency) stirring ocassionally. Remove from heat and allow to stand for a few minutes. Microwave: In a large bowl, combine ? cup (50 g) of oats, 1 cup (250 ml) water and a pinch of salt and microwave on high for 3 ? 5 minutes. Be sure to watch carefully to avoid water boiling over. Allow to stand for 2 minutes. Add toppings such as milk. milk substitutes, honey, seeds, nuts or fruit to taste. NOTE: Microwave ovens vary. These timings are a guide only and are based on an 850 ? 1100 watt oven. ALLERGENS: Gluten. This product is packed in a factory that uses nutes, sesame, sunflower seeds, soya and cow's milk. *Seal bag once opened. *Store in a cool, dry place.
