The Koyama Oire Japanese Wood Chisels are high quality laminated steel chisels with a single hollow ground back which reduces area in contact with the workpiece. The chisels have a high quality red oak handle and a steel ring on the handle for work with a mallet. The chisels are hardness HRC63+-2.
