The Caran d'ache technalo pencils are high-quality water-soluble graphite pencils that can be used dry or wet. When used dry, the colour is only a subtle hint, mixed in with the natural dark tone of graphite. When wet, the watercolour pigment is intensified to bring rich tones of colour to your work.
