The mono 100 pencil is a high-quality artist pencil made of dark graphite with high density, a fine black varnish, and a distinctive white stripe over the paint-dipped end. The barrel is hexagonal and the very end is cylindrical. The pencils are available in 17 degrees of hardness, 9H - 6H (extreme hard), 5H - 3H (very hard), 2H-H (hard), HB - H (medium), B - 3B (soft), and 4B - 6B (very soft).
