Description
A spade drill bit is a type of drill bit used for drilling into hardwood, softwood, chipboard, MDF, plywood, and other types of wood. The bit has a shank that is 6.35mm hexagonal and is designed for quick change. The bit is made from high carbon steel and is available in standard or pro series versions. The pro series bit has spurs on the shank that help it cut cleaner and faster than a standard bit.

TIP:
To avoid splintering, drill the workpiece from both ends.
