This 12V DC Water Pump is self-priming and includes an automatic pressure switch. It is commonly used in South Africa for small off-grid applications (water supply, irrigation, camping, boating) and portable solutions (car wash sprayer). When installed correctly, this pump provides years of quiet operation. It is suitable for use with a 12V battery, solar panel connected through a 12V solar charge controller, or with a 10mm pipe.

The pump is self-priming with a vertical suction lift up to 1.2m. It draws 2.6A only, making it suitable for small 12V batteries. The inlet & outlet diameter is 9.5mm (3/8") hose barb making it suitable for a 10mm pipe. Dimensions are 170x100x60mm. When using 10mm pipe, it is recommended to secure the inlet and outlet connections with small clamps or cable ties. Before starting the pump, the outlet line must be open to prevent airlock. The pressure switch will automatically shut off the pump when the outlet line is closed and the pressure has risen to 5.5bar, and restart the pump when the outlet pressure drops. The pump is designed to work with a 12V battery and/or a solar panel connected through a 12V solar charge controller.
