Seachem Safe
Removes chlorine, chloramine, and ammonia
Detoxifies nitrite and nitrate
Highly concentrated
Marine and freshwater
Seachem Safe is a complete and concentrated dry conditioner for both fresh and salt water. Safe removes chlorine, chloramine, and ammonia. Safe converts ammonia into a safe, non-toxic form that is readily removed by the tanks biofilter. Safe may be used during tank cycling to alleviate ammonia/nitrite toxicity. Safe detoxifies nitrite and nitrate, allowing the biofilter to more efficiently remove them. Safe is non-acidic and will not impact pH. Safe will not overactivate skimmers. Use at start-up and whenever adding or replacing water.
Why It's Different
Safe is the dry version of Prime and shares all of its advantages; however, Safe is even more concentrated than Prime.
Directions
NOTE. These directions supersede all other prior packaging.
Use 100 mg Safe (scoop) per each 100 L (25 gallons) as needed to reduce chlorine and chloramine or per 25 L (6 gallons) for ammonia.
Directions for all other sizes
Use 1.25 g (1/4 tsp.) for every 1,250 L (300 gallons) as needed to reduce chlorine and chloramine or use 1.25 g (1/4 tsp.) for every 300 L (75 gallons) for ammonia.
May be added to aquarium directly, but better if added to new water first. If adding directly to aquarium, base dose on aquarium volume. For exceptionally high chloramine concentrations, a double dose may be used safely. To detoxify nitrite and nitrate in an emergency, up to 4 times normal dose may be used. If temperature is > 30 C (86 F) and chlorine or ammonia levels are low, use a half dose.
