Description
This is a novel about two fathers who lose their sons to drowning. One man, Leo Hertzberg, has a son who drowns when he is 12, and the other man, Bill Weschler, has a son who grows up to be the acolyte of a sinister, guru-like artist. The novel builds up to a murder that the artist commits.
Set in the hedonistic 80s, this novel combines a moving account of familial relationships with a plot of mounting menace. Leo Hertzberg's son drowns when he is 12 and Bill Weschler's son grows up to be the acolyte of a sinister, guru-like artist who spawns murder in his wake.
