MARTO MT-650 TRADITIONAL TANTO BLACK
Traditional decorative Japanese Tanto, part of the high quality exclusive collection 'Oriental Weapons' made by Marto. Some of the finest swords available on the market today, a prized possession for any collector of today as it would have been for any warrior of the ancient past, usually worn by the 'Samurai' class or 'chonin' class, including merchants in feudal Japan, on the left side, secured to the waist sash.
The guard/tsuba, the collar/fuchi, the pommel/kashira and the ornamental menuki in silver plated metal with the handgrip textured to depict the original detail of rayskin.
The MARTO MT-650 TRADITIONAL is a fully temper, slightly curve, AISI 440 Stainless Steel blade, making it virtually maintenance free.
A traditional black Tanto, measuring 18" in overall length, presented in a custom, austere, black lacquered scabbard/saya, with a black knob/kurikata and black cord wrapped around the handgrip/ito.
Classified as a 'Decorative Sword' and not intended for harsh cutting. As the blade composition, tangs and overall handle designs are not able to withstand forceful impact with hard surfaces.
