Description
The Glenfarclas 105 is a strong, complex whiskey that contains all the flavors of the Glenfarclas range. Despite its high alcohol content, it is surprisingly smooth and can be enjoyed at cask strength or with a dash of water. The nose is oaky with hints of apples, pears, and toffee. On the palate, it is dry and spicy with notes of oak and sherry. The finish is smooth and warming with a lingering spiciness. The bottle size is 750ml and the alcohol content is 60%.
Glenfarclas 105 holds all the flavours of the Glenfarclas range in one glass. Don't be afraid of the strength, the smoothness makes the 105 drinkable at cask strength, but a dash of water is welcome to explore it's great depth.
Nose:Complex, Oaky, apples and pears and a tempting dark toffee sweetness.
Palate:Dry and assertive, develops quickly to reveal a rich spiciness, combined with a hint of oak and sherried fruit.
Finish:Amazingly smooth for the strength, wonderful warming with a lingering spiciness, yet very rounded.
