Cazadores Anejo Tequila, 40% ABV, 750ml
Cazadores Anejo Tequila is small batch, oak barrel aged tequila. With flavour notes of chocolate, smoked oak, dried fruits and almonds, the finish is smooth, buttery, elegant and long lasting.
Cazadores Anejo rests in new American white oak barrels before it is artfully blended by our master distiller, Jesus Susunaga Acosta, for the clean, creamy, and elegant flavour profile that is exclusive to TEQUILA Cazadores. It's excellent on its own - just serve it neat in your favourite glass. It also adds depth to a variety of great tequila cocktails such as a Cazadores Prickly Pear Mule.
The TEQUILLA Cazadores story starts in 1922, when Don Jose Maria Ba uelos created the perfect recipe for a bold highland tequila. The recipe was developed in Arandas, a community in the Los Altos region of Jalisco. It is here, in Arandas, that TEQUILLA Cazadores is still made.
TEQUILA Cazadores also supports the community. We work with local agave producers to meticulously select each 100% highland blue Weber agave once it has reached full maturity at 8 years old. Our jimadors cut each agave very low to remove its leaves, which can bring bitter notes to the tequila.
We begin our production of Cazadores Anejo tequila the same day we harvest. Three mills crush the agaves to prepare them for extraction. Once complete, the agave fibers are sent to our 24-step acid-free diffusion method that helps preserve both the natural colour and flavour of the agave.
Our two-stage fermentation process takes twice as long as most other tequila producers and uses our own proprietary strain of yeast. Over seven days, the agua miel relaxes to the sounds of Mozart to achieve the unique recipe of TEQUILA Cazadores.
After Don Jose perfected his bold new Cazadores tequila, it is said that he hid the recipe in the walls of his house, guarding it as his most prized possession. For 51 years, TEQUILA Cazadores remained a family secret, until Don Jose's grandson, Don Feliz, decided it was time to share Cazadores with the world. In 1973, Don Feliz built the first commercial Cazadores distillery, right in the same spot in Arandas where Don Jose first saw a stag in his agave field.
Cazadores AnejoTequila is real tequila for real people. Small batch, oak barrel aged and double distilled, it's tequila from the heart of Mexico. What's in the box
