It has a high pigment loading and great archival properties, making it perfect for use with the many Dala Artists' Oil Mediums. Cadmium pigments are brilliantly coloured with good permanence and tinting power. Claude Monet's famous yellow hues are painted with cadmium pigments.
Dala Artists' Oil Paint has a rich, buttery consistency that is
attributed to it's composite of quality pigments, as well as being
triple milled. It has a high pigment loading, great archival properties
and light-fastness. Use in conjunction with the many Dala
Artists Oil Mediums for interesting paint alterations and effects.
Cadmium Pigments - Cadmium pigments are brilliantly coloured, with good
permanence and tinting power. Â Cadmium yellow, orange and red
have become familiar artists' colours. The yellows were first used by
artist's in the 1840. Claude Monet's famous yellow hues for example are
painted in cadmium. The reds are relatively modern pigments only
becoming commercially available in 1919.Â
