This is a starter set of seven printmaking inks, including three Akua Intaglio Inks, a Transparent Base Modifier, a Blending Medium, and an Instruction Guide. The inks are high quality, lightfast pigments that have a thick consistency and minimal water content, making them suitable for longer working times. The set also includes Phthalo Akua Liquid Pigment Ink, which was originally developed for monotype printmaking, and is a fluid concentrated pigment.

The set also contains Phthalo Akua Liquid Pigment Ink which originally was developed for monotype printmaking and is a fluid concentrated pigment. Included in this set are also two modifiers, the Transparent Base Modifier is designed to have Akua Liquid Pigment added to it which will not only thicken the Liquid Pigment but will give you the ability to create new intaglio or relief colours. The set also contains a Blending Medium which can be used with both the Akua Liquid Pigment and the Akua Intaglio Ink - it is a clear, colourless liquid and is to be used to thin the ink for brushwork, wash effects or used as a resist for viscosity monotypes.
