Description
Casamigos Joven Mezcal is a type of mezcal that is made using the artisanal method. The pi*as, or hearts of the agave plant, are cooked for 4-6 days in earthen pits lined with volcanic or river rock after being harvested. They are then cooled for 24 hours before being crushed using a Tahona wheel. The mezcal is then fermented for 6-8 days and distilled twice in covered copper pot stills. It has a crystal clear color and a fragrant aroma of herbs and fruit with a hint of smoke. The flavor is characterized by notes of smoke and black pepper, leading to a long and silky finish. It comes in a 700ml bottle and has an alcohol content of 40%.
