The Crescent Student Grade Illustration Board is an economical board, available in Cold Press (NOT) and Hot Press. The Hot Press smooth surface is suited to a wide range of techniques including pen, pencil and ink. The difference between the Professional grade illustration board and the student grade illustration board is that the Professional grade illustration board is thicker and constructed of a higher quality surface paper - 100% cotton fibre acid-free. They are more warp resistant and can accept more aggressive wash applications than the student boards.
