The batteries are rated to last 150-200 cycles (load sheddings), but during constant load shedding, at stage 4-6, they will be depleted within a few months. The inverters power switch should be OFF during stage 4-6 to preserve the longevity of the batteries.

Mecer Axpert Type 3000VA (3000W) PURE Sine Wave Inverter (1200W PWM Solar Controller)
Includes 2x 100Ah Battery + Steel Cabinet + Wheels
All cabling and connectors included
Unit Dimensions: 62cm(H) x 55cm(W) x 55cm(L)
Weight: 75kg
PLEASE NOTE: The 8-hour battery life is based on a 150W consumption. Typically a TV, lamp, wifi router, and laptop connected. NB - WARRANTY INFORMATION
The standard batteries in this kit are rated to last 150-200 cycles (load sheddings).
During occasional load shedding, at stage 1-3, the average life span is 2 years.
Unfortunately, during constant load shedding, at stage 4 - 6, these cycles will be depleted within a few months.
The batteries will also be further degraded due to insufficient time to recharge fully in between load shedding cycles.
**Please note that as soon as the batteries stop lasting, unfortunately the warranty becomes void, as this means that the batteries have depleted their cycles and reached the end of their life.
Please always keep the total load shedding count of 150-200 cycles (high cycle batteries) or 200-250 cycles (deep cycle batteries) in mind when running the system.
Therefore, during stage 4-6, we highly recommend keeping the inverters power switch OFF. Then, only switch it on when the need for backup power is crucial.
This will preserve the longevity of the batteries (please keep it plugged in to the wall permanently to keep it charged).
