Description
This is a replica of a Byzantine icon of Jesus Pantocrator, originally painted in Romania on fir wood using techniques from the 16th century. The icon is mounted on wood and measures 70 x 40 x 8mm. The Christ Pantocrator is depicted in half figure with an open book on the left and blessing with his right hand. The nimbus around his head contains the letters ON, representing Exodus 3:13-14. The brown tunic symbolizes his earthly nature while the blue mantle represents his divine nature. This icon holds significance in both Orthodox temples and the homes of believers.
