Description
The Marto 505 Espadas Sword is a replica of the famous Tizona sword carried by El Cid, a Spanish hero who fought against the Moors. The name Tizona means "burning stick" and the sword is on display at the Museo de Burgos. It is one of two swords attributed to El Cid in Spanish literature, and according to the Cantar de Mio Cid, he won it from King Yucef in Valencia and later gifted it to his sons-in-law before regaining possession of it. The replica sword is made of stainless steel, measures approximately 100 cm in length with a blade length of 79 cm, and weighs 1.3 kg. Its manufacturer's product number is 505.

The Tizona, or Tiz*n, is one of the swords (together with La Colada) attributed to El Cid in Spanish literature. According to the Cantar de Mio Cid, El Cid won the sword from its previous owner, King Yucef in Valencia. Afterward, it was gifted by El Cid to his sons-in-law, the Infantes de Carri*n but eventually returned into the possession of El Cid.
