James Reserve 12 Year Old is a smooth and sophisticated whiskey with hints of toasted wood, spice, and sherry. It was originally named 1780 in honor of the year Jameson was founded. The nose offers aromas of bread, oak, orange, cedar, and a hint of medicine. On the palate, there are light flavors of barley, maple, and buttery biscuits. The finish is a combination of warming oak, molasses, and floral notes. This whiskey comes in a 750ml bottle with an alcohol content of 43%.
