The Bostik Shower Sanitary Silicone Sealant is a clear, one part acetoxy curing sealant that is designed for use in and around the bathroom. It is highly resistant to UV radiation, weathering, ageing, and water, and is also chemically resistant to diluted acids and alkalis, soap, and household detergents. The sealant contains a fungicide to prevent mold growth. It can adhere to a variety of non-porous materials, including ceramics, glass, enamel, porcelain, and various types of wood, metal, and plastic. However, it is not suitable for use on alkaline surfaces such as concrete, fibrous cement, asbestos, plaster, or marble, and may cause corrosion on certain metals. It should not be used on mirrors or natural stone surfaces, and will not adhere to certain types of plastic. The sealant should not be applied when the relative humidity is below 10%, and it is not suitable for use in fish tanks. It is also not paintable. The package contains one 90ml tube of the sealant.

Bostik Shower is a clear, one part acetoxy curing high quality sanitary siliconesealant that provides a permanent flexible, durable, watertight seal for generalpurpose DIY sealing in and around the bathroom. The sealant is extremelyresistant to UV radiation, weathering, ageing and water, and offers excellentchemical resistance and is unaffected by diluted acids and alkalis, soap andhousehold detergents. Bostik Shower contains a fungicide and resists mouldgrowth.
Warning:
Exhibits excellent primer less adhesion to many non-porous materialize. ceramics, glass, enamel, porcelain, coated wood, painted surfaces, canvas, stainless steel, aluminium, some rubbers and some plastics (epoxide, polyester, polyacrylate, polystyrene, formica, fiberglass, acrylics, polycarbonates and rigid PVC).
Not suitable for alkaline surfaces such as concrete, fibrous cement, asbestos, plaster and marble.
Not suitable for some metals i.e. mild steel, lead, copper, tin, galvanized iron, brass or zinc as it may cause corrosion.
May become discoloured in contact with some organic elastomers, which tend to bleed oil or solvents into the silicone, e.g. EPDM, APTK, Neoprene and Bituminous surfaces.
Not suitablefor mirrors as it will de-silver the mirror backing, affecting the front appearance of the mirror. Not suitable for contact with natural stone i.e. marble, granite, quartzite as it may discolour the surfaces. Will not adhere to some plastics such as polyethylene, polypropylene and Teflon. Do not apply sealant when relative humidity is below 10% - cure rate will be affected.
NOT SUITABLE FOR FISH TANKS(contains a fungicide).
