The Growatt SPF 5000 ES 48V 5KW Hybrid Inverter is a multifunctional off grid solar inverter that includes a MPPT solar charge controller, a high frequency pure sine wave inverter, and a UPS function module. It can be used for off grid backup power and self-consumption applications, and can work with or without batteries. Other devices such as PV modules, generators, or utility grids are needed for the system to function. The inverter also has a WiFi/GPRS module for remote monitoring and can be parallelized with up to 6 units. It has a maximum PV input of 450vDC and can choose between grid or solar input priority. The inverter also has a flexible schedule for charging and discharging batteries. It has a rated power of 5000W and a surge power of 10000VA for 5 seconds. The inverter also has a 5-year warranty and must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with SANS 10142.

Warranties: 5 YearsAll inverters and batteries must be installed by a qualified electrical wireman or Master electrician with a valid registration with the Department of Labour. A valid electrical certificate of compliance (COC) must be issued once installed, specific to the installation of the backup or solar system. The installation must be compliant with SANS 10142 and ALL its parts. Any warranty claim submitted without installation photos, a valid COC, and proof of a qualified wireman/master electrician installing the unit, can be rejected and will render the warranty claim at void.
