The Ajax FireProtect 2 RB (Heat/Smoke) is a wireless fire detector designed for indoor use. It has both heat and smoke sensors and is equipped with a siren for sound notification of alarms and events. The detector can detect smoke using a bispectral optical sensor and has two built-in thermistors for detecting rapid temperature changes. It is compatible with various Ajax automation devices and can operate as part of the Ajax system or autonomously. The detector is easy to install and comes with a pre-installed battery. It has a communication range of up to 1700m and is protected against tampering and jamming. The Ajax FireProtect 2 RB has a 24-month limited manufacturer's warranty.
The Ajax FireProtect 2 RB (Heat/Smoke) is a wireless fire detector with heat and smoke sensors intended for indoor use. Equipped with a siren (piezoelectric buzzer) for sound notification of alarms and events with a volume of up to 85 dB (at a distance of 3 m from the detector).
FireProtect 2 detects smoke with a bispectral optical sensor that allows the detector to determine the size of the volatile particles inside the chamber and respond only to smoke, ignoring vapour and steam.
Two built-in class A1R thermistors notify of alarms when a rapid temperature rise or static temperature is detected in the range of +54C to +65C. and the smoke chamber is also protected from dust, dirt, and insects.
The Ajax automation devices can respond to FireProtect 2 alarms and perform user-defined actions using automation scenarios. For example, the WallSwitch relay can turn off the ventilation system and turn on emergency lighting when an alarm occurs.
The FireProtect 2 detector operates as part of the Ajax system, communicating with the hub via the Jeweller secure radio protocol but can also be used autonomously without connecting to an Ajax hub. In this case, the detector notifies of fire or smoke with only a built-in siren and LED indication.
Users dont receive notifications on any Ajax apps, including Ajax Translator, or PRO Desktop. The Interconnected Fire Detectors Alarms feature is also unavailable for this operation mode.
Compatible with Hub Plus, Hub 2, Hub 2 Plus, Hub Hybrid, ReX and ReX 2 (OS Malevich 2.14.1 and higher).
