Description
Umuthi Botanicals offers a 150G package of Sunflower Whole Seeds. These seeds can be sprouted or grown as microgreens and have several nutritional benefits. They are rich in healthy fats, protein, vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Including sunflower kernels in your diet can improve heart health, provide antioxidant effects, and support bone health and blood sugar control. The sprouting process takes 1-2 days and requires a temperature of 70-75F. The instructions for sprouting include rinsing the kernels, soaking them for 8-12 hours, and regularly rinsing and draining them until they have sprouted. Microgreens can also be grown from sunflower kernels, with a similar germination length and optimal temperature. The process involves filling a tray with a growing medium, moistening it, and spreading the kernels on top. After 10-14 days, the microgreens can be harvested and consumed.

Instructions for sprouting sunflower kernels:
Rinse the sunflower kernels thoroughly under running water.
Place the kernels in a sprouting tray or a wide-mouthed jar covered with a mesh or cheesecloth. Add enough water to cover the kernels.
Soak the kernels in water for about 8-12 hours.
After soaking, drain the water from the tray or jar and rinse the kernels again.
Keep the sprouting tray or jar in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.
Continue rinsing and draining the kernels twice a day until they have sprouted and developed small green leaves.
