Description
The Solarix Growtech 12V 100Ah Deep Cycle VLRA Gel Rechargeable Battery is a versatile and reliable power source that is suitable for use with inverters and solar installations. It has a nominal capacity of 100Ah and a voltage of 12V, with a maximum charging current of 15A. The battery is leak-proof and maintenance-free, with the battery acid encapsulated in fiberglass sheets. It can be mounted in any orientation and is able to handle vibration. The battery has a cycle life of 2000 cycles at 30% depth of discharge (DoD) and 1000 cycles at 50% DoD. Its self-discharge rate is not specified.
NB- WARRANTY INFORMATION
This battery is rated to last200-250 cycles (load shedding).
During occasional load shedding, at stage 1-3, the average life span is 2 years.
Unfortunately, during constant load shedding, atstage 4 - 6, these cycles will bedepleted within a few months.
The batteries will also be further degraded due to insufficient time to recharge fully in between load shedding cycles.
**Please note that as soon as the batterystops lasting, unfortunately the warranty becomes void, as this means that the batteryhas depleted its cycles and reached the end of its life.
Therefore, during stage 4-6, if using in conjunction with an inverter, we highly recommend turning off the power switch on the inverter itself, when the need for power is not crucial.
This will preserve the longevity of the battery (please keep the inverter plugged in to the wall permanently to keep it charged).
