Description
The Aten CL5708M is a 17-inch 8-port TFT-LCD VGA KVM switch that allows access to multiple computers from a single console. It supports both PS/2 and USB keyboards and mice, and can be used with Windows, Linux, Mac, and Sun operating systems. The LCD module can rotate up to 115 degrees for a better viewing angle, and the switch offers two level password security for authorized users. It also has the ability to daisy-chain up to 31 additional units, allowing control of up to 256 computers from a single console. The switch features an integrated keyboard, LED-backlit LCD monitor, and touchpad in a 1U rack-mountable housing. It also has features such as LED illumination, auto-sensing of stations, and hot pluggable capabilities. The switch supports multiple languages and can be upgraded via firmware updates.

The Aten CL5708M Slideaway 17 LCD KVM Switch is a control unit that allows access to multiple computers from a single PS/2 or USB KVM (keyboard, video, and mouse) console. A single CL5708 can control up to 8 computers. As many as 31 additional KVM switches can be daisy-chained to the CL5708M, so that up to 256 computers can all be controlled from a single KVM console.
The CL5708M offers a space-saving, streamlined approach to KVM switch technology by integrating a keyboard, 17 or 19 LED-backlit LCD monitor, and touchpad in a 1U rack-mountable sliding housing.
