The Cryptid from Christian Kniat is very similar in look and feel to the Nick Consoli Task design but with a button lock instead of a Crossbar Lock. Manipulating the Cryptid still keeps your fingers free of the blade's path when closing, and along with the dual thumb studs and ambidextrous pocket clip placements, it's a great choice for nearly all end-users. The similar reverse tanto blade shape is proficient at all cutting tasks, and ergonomics may even be marginally better with the slight curve to the handle spine. It feels like it can handle anything and is priced to absolutely excel. Now, get out there and do so.
