Being made out of polymer, you would think the rail would be flimsy and unreliable, however, it is just the opposite. The rail is very solid and does not wobble or flex at all, you cant tell that the rail is not metal unless you actually hold the gun. The polymer rail system is a great addition to the already great Combat Machine line. The use of polymer for the RIS keeps the cost of the gun and the overall weight down. Of course, as with all Combat Machine AEGs, a high-grade durable polymer is used for the body and the battery is placed in the crane stock.
