Made from select American rye grain that is sheared to maximise the extraction of flavour from the grain. The US*1 expressions, so named to honour Michters heritage harkening back to Americas first whiskey company, consist of some of the finest single barrel and truly small batch whiskeys available. Distilled to Master Distiller Dan McKees exacting specifications, no US*1 whiskey is ever released until Dan and the Michters tasting panel deems it ready.
Michter's Straight Rye has a taste profile of spice with peppery notes, citrus, butterscotch and oak.
