Description
Named after the postcode for the historic Sasanokawa Shuzo distillery in Japan, this 21-year-old blended whisky combine single malt and grain whiskies and is part of the Yamazakura 963 range. A balanced blend, with just enough complexity, and at 58% ABV a drop or two of water should help open things up nicely.
Nose:Polished oak furniture, sweet spices such as liquorice and cinnamon, with heather honey, and some red berries.
Palate:Bakewell tart, blackberries, oaky vanilla, woody spice, and dustings of cocoa powder.
Finish:Leathery spices and drying oak.
