Description
This is a 12-year-old malt whisky from Hatozaki, this interesting Japanese bottling was initially matured in American oak casks, before being finished for six months in barrels that previously held Umeshu liqueur, arguably the most iconic fruit liqueur made in the country using a native variety of small plums called ume.
NoseFloral honey, creamy vanilla, and lots of fresh orchard fruit.
PalateThrough cherry blossom and lavendar comes lychee, dried apricot, sweet peaches in cream, and toffee.
FinishViolets and vanilla linger.
