Casamigos Tequila is a high-end brand of tequila co-founded by actor George Clooney, nightlife entrepreneur Rande Gerber, and real estate tycoon Mike Meldman in 2013. Casamigos produces three primary varieties:
Blanco This is the youngest and most pure form of Casamigos Tequila, made from 100% blue Weber agave and aged for two months. It has fresh, crisp flavors of citrus and vanilla with a smooth finish.
Reposado Aged for seven months in American whiskey barrels, Casamigos Reposado has a light golden color. Its taste is rich and smooth, with hints of caramel, cocoa, and spice.
A*ejo Aged for 14 months in American whiskey barrels, this version is complex with flavors of dark chocolate, vanilla, and oak. Its a rich, well-balanced tequila with a long finish.
In 2017, the global beverage giant Diageo acquired Casamigos for up to $1 billion, making it one of the most valuable tequila brands in the world. The brand emphasizes smoothness and drinkability, with each variety known for being exceptionally smooth, whether sipped neat or in cocktails.
